If just the thought of CSS makes your eyes itchy... I've got good news. Showit is the most flexible, drag and drop website builder out there.
You can customize every pixel from colors, images, and elements on both desktop to mobile to make sure your site looks just the way you envisioned it.
No need to hire a developer or get a computer science degree because you can place everything on your website exactly as you like it.
Yeah, I hated it too, but people recommend it for a reason. It’s the gold standard of blogging platforms.
The problem is it requires a million moving pieces (I liken it to assembling your new stress-inducing, Ikea bookshelf). But, Showit is a completely independent page builder (made for right-brained people) that integrates beautifully with Wordpress only for blogging.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE Squarespace. It's one of my all time favorite website platforms (top two, actually).
While it works wonderfully for some of my clients, others were looking for a platform that they could customize themselves without having to learn css.
The flexibility and simplicity of the Showit platform made it a no-brainer for our templates.
The hardest part about Showit? Starting a design from scratch and with our templates, we've done all the heavy lifting for you.
Start with one of our beautiful, strategic designs, customize it with your own content, and you'll be ready to go live in no time.

Showit makes it super easy to add new templates to your account. First, you'll need to sign up for a Showit account and choose your plan. I recommend either the main Showit plan (if you don't need a blog) or the Showit + Advanced blog if you plan on adding a blog to your new website.
If you have a blog, Showit will migrate over all of your existing blog content from either Squarespace or Wordpress when you sign up. It's best to get this process started early, because it can take a few days.
While Showit is an extremely flexible platform when it comes to building a website, it's almost too flexible!
There are infinite options when it comes to where to place images, text, and elements on a particular page.
Starting with a template will make your life a million times easier. Instead of looking at a blank canvas and trying to figure out where to put things, you can drag and drop your existing content into the placeholders.
You still have all the flexibility you need, without the headache of starting from scratch.
It's true. There are a lot of free Showit templates out there. But, not all of them are high quality and most aren't optimized to rank well in search engines like Google. If you get stuck building out your website, not only do you have the help of Showit support, you also get our team to guide you through the process in our private membership community.
Probably one of the most important questions of all... what actually is Showit? And why should you choose Showit over Squarespace or Wordpress?
Showit is a drag-and-drop website builder that allows you to fully design both the desktop and mobile experience of your website. It also integrates directly with Wordpress for blogging so that you can use your Showit designs for your Wordpress blog posts.
I am a huge fan of Squarespace and while I recommend it to many creative business owners, it isn't the right fit for everyone because you do need a base knowledge of code to get your site to look and feel exactly the way you want.
Wordpress, on the other hand, while a robust blogging platform, can be very rigid and requires frequent updates and support. Showit combines the best of both worlds and is perfect for the business owner who wants a combination of drag-and-drop ease with Wordpress performance.
Also I love that the Showit support team is here to help if you ever get stuck.
100% yes! Check out the video walkthrough above to see how easy it is to update and change this Showit template to match your brand and style.
