Introduction
Kat, of The Honeymoon Never Ends, runs an adventure elopement photography and travel blogging brand based in the western United States, with primary work in Yosemite National Park, Utah, and Idaho. We partnered with Kat on a full rebrand and website redesign, moving her site from WordPress to Showit and rewriting her site copy from the ground up.
Kat had built her original website herself and had already gone through a coaching program and website audit before reaching out to us. Her brand had shifted over time from a softer, romantic tone toward something more direct: bold, rebellious, and unapologetically opinionated about what an elopement can look like. The DIY site no longer matched that positioning, and paid ads were generating clicks without inquiries.
Our work covered brand identity, a new Showit website with a long-form homepage, full copywriting, and an SEO and GEO strategy built around Kat’s dual focus on elopement photography and Yosemite travel content.

The Project
Kat has worked as an elopement photographer for four to five years under the name The Honeymoon Never Ends, a brand she originally started as a travel blog before folding in elopement photography. Her work centers on adventurous, non-traditional elopements in Yosemite, with additional coverage in Utah and Idaho and plans to expand into destinations like Moab, Arches, Zion, and the Sawtooth and Teton ranges.
Before working with us, Kat had built and rebuilt her own WordPress website multiple times. She had recently gone through a coaching program that included a brand audit and had already started shifting her copy toward a bolder, more rebellious voice. What she hadn’t been able to do herself was translate that voice into a matching visual identity. She had also spent money on Google ads that generated clicks but no inquiries, which she attributed in part to a website that didn’t yet reflect who she had become as a photographer and a brand.
Kat also faced a structural SEO challenge: her Yosemite travel content and her elopement photography services were closely related in her own mind, since the travel writing demonstrated her expertise in the area, but search engines were treating them as two separate, disconnected topics. She needed a site structure that kept the two distinct enough for search clarity while still connecting them for a reader, or an AI search tool, trying to understand who she is.
Objectives
- Translate Kat’s evolved, rebellious brand personality into a visual identity built from her own photography, rather than a generic template
- Give search engines and readers a clear line between Kat’s Yosemite travel expertise and her elopement photography services, instead of two disconnected topics
- Rebuild the website as a long-form, SEO-friendly homepage that helps visitors move naturally between travel inspiration and booking information
- Write site copy in Kat’s own voice, reflecting her direct, unapologetic approach to elopements
- Preserve years of existing blog content and SEO equity through the move from WordPress to Showit

The Approach
A Visual Identity Built From Her Own Photography, Not a Template
As Kat’s brand evolved from a soft, romantic travel blog into a bolder, more rebellious elopement photography business, her visual identity had fallen behind that shift. She had already reworked her own messaging to sound more direct and unapologetic, but hadn’t been able to translate that voice into a matching look. We built the color palette directly from her own photography, pulling terracotta and clay reds, deep sage and olive greens, a wine tone, and a bold red accent, balanced so the palette reads as confident rather than seasonal. The typography pairs a bold, modern serif with a clean sans-serif, giving the brand enough edge to feel rebellious while staying easy to read across her long-form travel guides and blog content.
The new logo replaced Kat’s original wedding-ring icon, which had started to feel dated, with a mark built around two interlocking loops forming an infinity shape, a direct reference to the “never ending” honeymoon at the center of her brand name. A mountain silhouette and topographic line motif tie the mark back to the Yosemite and Teton landscapes where she works.

A Homepage Built to Serve Two Audiences
Because The Honeymoon Never Ends started as a travel blog before becoming an elopement photography business, the website needed to work for two different kinds of visitors at once: couples actively researching elopements and readers arriving through travel content. We built a long-form homepage that leads clearly with elopement photography as the primary service, while still making room for the travel expertise that builds Kat’s credibility as a Yosemite specialist. An interactive map lets visitors move between Yosemite and Utah destination guides and her photography services without leaving the page, reinforcing the connection between the two sides of her business instead of treating them as separate.
Copywriting in Her Own Voice
We wrote the site’s full copy from Kat’s own notes and messaging, matching a tone that’s direct, a little irreverent, and unapologetic about doing elopements her own way. That voice runs through the homepage, the calls to action, and how the site introduces her as a photographer, rather than reading like generic photographer copy that could belong to anyone in her industry.
Connecting Travel Content and Elopement Services for Search
The most strategically important challenge on this project was structural, not visual. Kat’s Yosemite travel writing demonstrates her expertise in the area and builds trust with future clients, but search engines were treating her travel content and her elopement photography services as two disconnected topics rather than crediting one as proof of the other. We kept the homepage and core service pages focused specifically on elopement photography for search clarity, while adding author bio schema to every blog post to connect her travel writing back to her identity as an elopement photographer. That structure is built to be legible to both traditional search engines and AI tools summarizing or citing her site, which matters as much for her long-term visibility as any single page’s design.
Preserving SEO Through a WordPress-to-Showit Migration
Kat had years of blog content and existing search rankings built up on WordPress, and losing that equity in a redesign would have undercut the rest of the project. Showit’s WordPress integration meant the new site could keep WordPress running the blog underneath a Showit-built front end, so her existing content came over largely intact. Showit handled the technical migration, and we checked the imported content and set up redirects from the old site, so the switch improved her design without costing her the rankings she had already earned.

Client Testimonial
“I was terrified to spend so much money on a new website. I had been DIYing for so long but that’s how I knew I needed a new website. I spent 3k on Google ads that didn’t convert. You made it so easy and fun to work with you. And you brought my bold vision to life! Now my website is UNFORGETTABLE in a see of other photographers. Since launching the new website I have almost booked 2 elopements when my previously booked ever was ZERO!”
